Romance book where one of the MC’s was in an abusive relationship, and the book follows a new healthy one.

I really want to read a book like this where one of the main characters has dealt with abuse in the past, but was able to find love afterwards. And it also can’t be something that is too instantaneous, I really want something emotionally raw. I prefer queer romances but I wont reject it if it’s not. Nothing too erotic please.
