Mother/Daughter Dyads in Contemporary Fiction

Hello All!

I am looking for specific book recommendations for a project I'm doing. I'm hoping to focus in on Mother/Daughter bonds- specifically the mother/daughter split in contemporary fiction novels (2005 onward). I'm hoping for books that reflect the changing political climate and if they relate to immigrant women or women of color that is a bonus. The mother/daughter theme does not need to be the central part of the novel. As in "Lucy" by Jamaica Kincaid.
