looking for suggestions for light, fun books to take to the beach. something a little engaging with good writing, but no heavy/dark themes, no mysteries/crime series.

Looking for romance/comedy/light fantasy. Hoping for something for escapism to forget the woes of the world for a minute.

I haven't had the chance to read very much recently, but in the past I enjoyed "The Mutual Friend" by Carter Bays; A Cook's Tour by Anthony Bourdain, Eat Pray Love by Elizabeth Gilbert; and City of Girls also by Elizabeth Gilbert.

    TIA!

    1. The Ladies Rewrite The Rules by Suzanne Allain.
It’s a Regency romance. Very fun and light.

Any of Linda Holmes’ three novels are fun reads. Each has a romance in it but not *romance* books.
