Yesterday I read Strange Houses by Uketsu and whilst I didn't enjoy the book too much because I felt the writing was very plain and the story wasn't great; it was refreshing to read a creepy/eerie story that I could read in just one night. No sideplots, character development, etc.
I'm not necessarily looking for something so short, but does anyone have suggestions on the same vein but that are actually good? I read some nosleep posts like penpal and borrasca many years ago so anything in that field also works.
House of Leaves is great too! even though it's much longer.
