There's one thing that's distracting me from doing everything else that's important. And that is searching for something to read or watch based on how I want it. And I have multiple tropes and scenarios in my mind, but I can't find anything for them. It would've been easy to find something, except it's not. Maybe 'cause they're specific? I don't know. But I've been looking for a long time. Finally, I created a Reddit account just to ask people myself exactly how I want them.

    Here are the tropes:

    1. Princess X Knight – I was surprised by how rare this is, 'cause I see a lot of people talking about it and doing artwork for it, yet I couldn't find a single story like this, like how I want it. Anyway, I want the forbidden love trope to be in this one.

    2. Prince (or equivalent) X Servant (or equivalent) – Same with this.

    3. Priest (or equivalent) falling in love – Same with this.

    4. Childhood-friends-to-lovers – The girl and the boy should have been best friends ever since they were kids. Like, a very young age. Not since they were 10 years or 12 years old or something. I want them to have been friends since age 7 or less. I actually wanted a story where they've been friends all their life, like since they were babies, but I know that's super specific, so I settled for this. And an important detail is that throughout the story, they should be besties. There should be no separation element where they lost contact/touch and/or reunited or something. Also, the boy should've harboured feelings for the girl way before she started liking him, for a long time. I want the yearning.

    5. Nurse X Soldier

    6. Older woman X Younger man – I want the forbidden love element in this too. Like, it probably isn't that deep, but maybe hesitation could be there. But I want it in a certain way. I want the girl to be hesitating while the guy actively pursues her. Not in a disrespectful way, but he knows she likes him back and is deliberately not pursuing him too because of the age gap and maybe some other reasons. Oh, and I also want the guy to be total flirt. But like, only with her.

    7. I don't know what to name this, but I don't think it's GFY. Basically, the song Heather by Conan Gray made me want to read it as a story. Two guys should be best friends. But one of them secretly harbors feelings for the other. The other absolutely does not know. Or at least, even if he does know deep down, he should be in denial and can't accept it. He could be looking for girls and checking them out, but he questions his sexuality when he's with this gay friend. His uncertainty about his sexuality could be the reason for this almost-forbidden love kind of trope, but there should also be a second reason like being a taboo in their society or family/families.

    8. I don't know what to name this trope. It's just enemies-to-lovers. But i want it with actors. Actors who dislike each other work on the same project. A show or a movie. Because I want this scene where they're acting out an intimate scene, but he starts to feel more, so he gets lost in it. Specifically, the director yells cut but he doesn't hear it the first time. He does hear it the second time. That's probably odd, but I thought I wanted their dynamic to be like something with palpable chemistry, and so much that everyone on set thinks they're perfect for the roles and as a pair.

    9. This is extremely rare, and probably doesn't exist, but I want a story where a man and a prostitute fall in love, and the man helps her escape that life.

Lastly, I wanted to try my luck and add some dialogues or scenes too.

    1. It doesn't matter which of these books it is in, or if it's in a different book, but I want a scene where the MMC and FMC are arguing because of something and the MMC yells, "Because I love you!" I have to mention that I don't want it to be a whisper or something he just says. I'm mentioning this in case someone tells me about the scene in Pride and Prejudice. No, I want the yelling of that line. But also, what's also specific about this is that after the yelling, there should be silence. The shocked silence. The FMC in shock at what he just said. And the MMC in shock that he actually said it. After all those years of pining after her and loving her quietly, he accidentally blurted out this.

    2. I want a scene where the FMC hits the MMC's chest repeatedly in agony until it all gets too much for her to bear, so she just slumps into him and he embraces her. But it should be a problem between them, not a problem about something else (maybe a betrayal?). Because I want her to be mad at him. Ghost him. I know that might sound toxic, but hear me out. He has to keep trying to talk to her, trying to make amends for what he did.

Additionally, I have some tropes that I already have watched or read, but would like something a little different.

    1. Angel X Demon – I watched Good Omens. I really liked it. But I wanted to watch/read something that's heterosexual. And I thought the forbidden love element could be stronger. I know the duology Extinguish and Reignite by J. M. Darhower, i haven't read it and am also not sure if I'll like it.

    2. Fake Dating/Engagement and Enemies-to-lovers – I watched The Proposal. I liked it. But I thought there were a couple of scenes that weren't completely appropriate (the touching her butt when she doesn't like it scenes). I know it's not a big problem and it's a rom-com and it's also probably common in America, but I like my men to be complete green flags with no inappropriate behaviour.

    3. Again, I don't know how to name this trope, but the movie for it is Dumplin'. I know it's based on a book. But the book is a trilogy and apparently it isn't great, but the movie is good. I liked it, but I wanted the romance to be just as much a part of the story as the self-expression and confidence and all. I also preferred something like an MMC who flirts with the FMC and is genuinely interested in her and likes her, but she doesn't let herself believe that because she doesn't believe anyone would like her romantically 'cause she's fat and thinks she's unattractive, and besides, he hasn't even said it yet. And even if he did, she would doubt it. He actively tries to give her hints, but she doesn't take them. And he can't believe how she doesn't take them, 'cause they're so obvious. But really, I don't care if he flirts with her or not. I just want that to be there. And that's there in Dumplin'. But like I said, I wanted more of the romance part.

    4. Lastly, I wanted to watch/read something with the MMC being in a wheelchair. He's insecure about it, so doesn't try to get into a relationship, but he finds a girl who's interested in him. But he's not sure if he'll be good enough for her. I found the book Santa's Crush for this. It's followed by Valentine's Date Disaster and 25 Candles, along with Santa's Girl, which includes all these stories plus a new, separate one. I haven't read any of these, but I wanted to ask for other recs just in case I end up not liking it.

Finally, I know some of these are really specific, or maybe all of them, but recommend to me whatever you think fits. Also, you must think that if I searched so much, I would've easily found some popular works for some of these tropes, but I should let you know that I only watch and read stories with happy endings. As in, ones where the man and the woman end up together. Preferably, no open endings either. One more thing. I only read books and webtoons, but I'm okay with watching any movie and show in any language. But I'm not okay with watching something that's way too long and is still ongoing. More like, I'm not okay with it if it's indefinite when it will end. Also, I don't want anything too sexual. Like, it can be there, but not too much. And I'd prefer it if it weren't there.

    Thank you.
