I’m thinking about going into medicine, but I’m not 100% sure it’s the right path for me. Before committing years of my life, I’d love to read some honest books that show what studying medicine and working as a doctor is actually like, both the good and the hard parts.
Are there any books (fiction or non-fiction) that helped you understand whether medicine was for you, or made you rethink it? I’m especially interested in real experiences, not idealized versions.

Sorry don’t know of any books like that. But intern at a medical office for a couple of months. Or ask your own doctor their experience.
