I trend towards psychological and supernatural horror, weird lit, lit-fic, and experimental fiction. I don’t like romance and I very much dislike fantasy and hard sci fi.
However, there are always a few books that break the mold. I’ve listed some below. What are those books for you?
Dune – first 3 only (sci-fi/fantasy)
Children of Time – first only (sci-fi)
Winter Solstice (romance)
Lady Sherlock series by Sherry Thomas (romance-ish)

I haven’t liked fantasy books since I graduated highschool but I was obsessed with finishing Between Earth and Sky trilogy
Lonesome Dove which is so much more than just a “western.”
I never imagined I would love a book about memory palaces but “Moonwalking With Einstein” was delightful in a totally unexpected way.
