This is more so for the historians (hopefully) lurking here as well. I'm looking for a book, fic/nonfic, that can help me understand HK / Macau in that time period. Mostly, it would be to get a sense of culture, social dynamics, expat social circles, that kind of stuff. I'd prefer informative texts, but more meditative and slow reads (that capture the feel of the era) are welcome too
