I loved this book so much – it brought me back to being a teenager and staying up all night reading!
I have a hard time finding books I love since I find a lot of modern romance to be cheesy/too light, and I’m not into fantasy or sci fi. I like literary fiction but sometimes I want something with more drama and intensity that will really pull me in and get me invested in the characters.
Any suggestions for books like The Favorites?

Have you read “Carrie Soto is Back” or “Daisy Jones & The Six” both by Taylor Jenkins Reid? There were elements of The Favorites that reminded me of both of these books.
Carrie Soto is Back is about a tennis star making a comeback to try to defend her title records. The main character is very driven to succeed and often thought of as a bitch because of it.
Daisy Jones & The Six is about a fictional band from the 70s trying to make it big. It’s told in the format of documentary transcripts. (kind of like the documentary portions of the Favorites)
