as an adhd woman, i have a lot of trouble with balance. either a book can’t hold my interest or i become consumed by it. I only let myself read during breaks when I don’t have other responsibilities, but I do miss it. And not having something to read before bed means that I’m on my phone which I don’t like. But I also can’t afford to read until 3/4 am.
books that consume me as of late tend to be dystopian, fantasy, and romantasy. books that can’t hold my interest tend to be non fiction (i want to like them but i can’t get through them, even memoirs). i want an easy read (not like Austen or Dorian Gray, even though I love and they are less stimulating in a good way) but without the crummy writing. any suggestions?
