    1. honestly the book that really clicked for me was “The Gifts of Imperfection” by Brené Brown – it’s not your typical self-help garbage and actually dives into vulnerability and authenticity in a way that felt real. I picked it up during a rough patch a few years back and it helped me stop trying to be perfect all the time

      also might sound weird but journaling consistently for like 3-4 months taught me more about myself than any book ever did. just writing down random thoughts, what pissed me off that day, what made me happy – patterns start emerging that you never noticed before. “The Artist’s Way” has this morning pages concept that’s basically stream of consciousness writing and it’s surprisingly effective at uncovering stuff you didn’t know you were thinking about

      if you want something more structured, “Atomic Habits” is solid for understanding why you do what you do, though it’s more about behavior patterns than deep self reflection
