Howdy!
I am hoping to get some recommendations on fiction books that are emotionally bleak (bonus points if it comes with some false hope), and fall into a horror genre.
I mainly read horror, usually body horror, but I'm looking into different niches!
Books along these lines that I've loved:
Tender is the Flesh (current favorite book), The Unworthy, The Road, I Have No Mouth…, The Ones Who Walk Away from Omelas (not really horror and not a novel, but fits the vibe and is great!)
I also really like to go into books as blindly as possible, it's super fun. Drop a book and I'm sure I'll read it soon! Thank you so much.
