I just, as in literally seconds ago, finished *Swimming to Antartica* by Lynne Cox. It’s my second time reading the book and I throughly enjoyed it.

I’m looking for books that are similar in style and take place in Antartica. The books could be about penguins, explorers, research, snow, etc. however I’d like ones that are not too graphic. Some of the ones I just looked up online felt a bit too heavy for me currently but I’m not opposed to some heavy reads. (If it’s a heavier read please explain why so I can evaluate.)

So please drop your recommendations for Antartica books! Tia 🙂

    1. Hey I also read Swimming To Antartica, it’s wild!

The number one recommendation will be Endurance by A. Lansing. It tells the true story of Shackleton’s doomed voyage down south, it can be heavy at times, but in the end it’s not too bad. It is a story of perseverance, competence and grit.
