I’m currently working on an adult literary reimagining novel of Chicken Little: The Falling is a dark, literary reimagining of the Chicken Little fable that asks what happens when truth collides with power. Set in a tightly controlled animal society, the novel follows Chicken Little after they claim the sky is falling, igniting fear, suspicion, and a struggle over who gets believed, and who gets punished. As whispers spread and authority tightens its grip, the story becomes a haunting meditation on surveillance, scapegoating, and how systems protect themselves at the expense of the vulnerable. Part political parable, part psychological drama, The Falling explores how easily truth can be distorted, and how dangerous it can be to speak it.

This sounds really compelling actually. The whole surveillance and scapegoating angle with Chicken Little is pretty clever – never thought about how that fable could work as political commentary. I’d be down to read it if you’re still looking for beta readers, I usually get through books pretty quick and give detailed feedback
