I love to read banned or taboo books for the past couple of years. But in general I like books that have an intresting hook. Something that draws you in but in a way that feels wrong. For refrence I am a 23yo Female and here are some recent books I've read.
Witin the past two weeks i finished:
•Half His Age by Jennette McCurdy
•Animal farm by George Orwell
•The Reappearance of Rachel Price by Holly Jackson
And within the past couple of years:
•120 days of Sodom by The Marquis De Sade (2 years ago)
•Justine or The Misfortunes of Virtue by The Marquis De Sade (1 year ago)
•The Honey Witch by Sydney J. Sheilds (3 years ago)
•Tender is The Flesh by Augustine Bazterrica (1 year ago)
•Cinderella is Dead by Kalynn Bayron (3 years ago)
•Tomie (Complete Edition) by Junji Ito
If you recommend romance please no smut, i like slow burns with plot being the main feature.
Despite reading the likes of The Marquis De Sade, please no graphic books with heavy violence.
I really enjoy banned books as well. The more backstory for why its banned the better.
Trying to get into more thriller.
I trypically try to find something that will have an interesting take away.
And for those who recommend Brave New World or Ferrenhight 451, I have them and am almost done with F451. Brave new world I just couldnt get into.
