I was way past being a Young Adult when the YA boom happened. And I find the ubiquity of YA to be. . . kind of weird?
There are so many requests on various book subs, by both teenagers and early 20's folks, asking specifically for YA books. Now, I think people should read whatever the heck they want, but I get this feeling that teenagers only read YA now? That they don't even consider older books?
When I was a teenager, I read SE Hinton, Judy Blume, and probably some others that I've forgotten by now, but mostly I just read books that were for adults.
If you're similar in age (or even if you're not), do you feel the same way? What did you read back in high school?
