i really need a good fantasy academia book, by that i mean i want somone coming from a non magic world, or a magic world and get sent to a school that teaches magic, actually fun and cool magic system. Im ok with it beign a series, but i am also looking for some stand alones. im ok with some romatasy but not super spicy. any recs would be much apreciated

The Magicians is one of my all-time favorite series. Kind of like Harry Potter goes to college, so more grown up situations and themes. Definitely a darker vibe and very different magical system. I love all three books and rarely see them recommended here.
One thing to note is that Q is a slightly insufferable emo dude in the first book. All of the other characters are fantastic and he gets so much better in the next two books. Also, the tv series diverges from the books quite a bit (in case you’ve seen it).
