Hello! I host a book club and I am looking for any recommendations on feminist literature. I am hoping to find a book that centers Female Friendships, really stressing the importance, and hopefully encouraging my group of women to center each other more in life rather than men! I’m looking for an interesting book that will keep everyone engaged but will also help them lead to the conclusion of power and trust with one another.
I know this is quite a specific request but all feminist recommendations are welcome!

Circe by Madeline Miller starts out with internalized misogyny and rough female relationships but ends with a true female friendship. Maybe too focus on the trying to get a man part though.
The Book Club for Troublesome Women by Marie Bostwick. About a group of suburban housewives who form a book club to discuss The Feminine Mystique by Betty Friedan, and how the book and the club affects their lives.
Feminism wasn’t and shouldn’t be anti-men. It was to enable women to be treated equally – to vote, to own and inherit property, to be able to work in any choice of career.
It is not a we hate men, we don’t like lipstick, bras or whatever.
Sad the original message has been so warped over the years.
If you’re open to nonfiction I recommend
The Other Significant Others Reimagining Life With Friendship at the Center by Raina Cohen it was such an interesting book. Not 100% about only female friendships, but very much highlights unique relationship styles and how positive decentering sexual relationships can be.
I made a good reads list for this!

I am forever recommending *Madwoman* by Chelsea Bieker. It’s thriller-adjacent but I thought the writing was so good and I was so engaged in the story.
