Hey all, I'm looking for a book that has a strong theme of community overcoming adversity. I'd love for it to be centered around like a small village or town that has to overcome some obstacle whether it's a natural disaster, looming harsh winter, something like that. I'm not really picky on the genre as long as it's fiction and not written in a super flowery literary fiction way.
It would be great if it centered around a farmer or harvest season or something like that.

Have you checked out *The Windup Girl* by Paolo Bacigalupi? It’s got that whole agricultural collapse thing going on and communities trying to survive together, though it’s more dystopian sci-fi than cozy farming vibes
Also *Station Eleven* might work – follows different communities rebuilding after a pandemic and there’s definitely some farming/settlement stuff, plus it’s not overly flowery writting style
