A shorter book that can be read aloud?

Hi everyone! I am looking for a suspense or thriller book that would that would be enjoyable to read out loud (for both the reader and the listener). Something shorter that could be finished in 6-8 hours would be ideal.

Before anyone mentions audiobooks, I am purposefully avoiding them right now.
