i used to read a book a week, but my adhd symptoms somehow got worse with pandemic depression, i have eye issues that made me too impatient to try hard to focus, and i never managed to get back into it.

my favorites of all time were 11/22/63, perks of being a wallflower, looking for alaska and the song of achilles.

i'd prefer something shorter, but something that's not boring PLEASE. it always used to help me if i can relate to a character or like the character, but i also enjoyed the secret history, so idk lol.

these days i still read a ton but it's mostly fanfiction, because i don't have to get to know a new story/character and the screen is easier on my eyes.

but i just want to be able to hold a book again. is there any shorter book you LOVE that didn't take 10 chapters to get into?

Some short books that I’d recommend are:

      Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer

      The Seep by Chana Porter

Unbreakable by Mira Grant (this is only available as an ebook but it’s so good)
