Very strange excerpt from The Burning of Moses Seattle, a new Seattle history book about Chief Seattle's family that treats vampires, ghosts, and interdimensional creatures as real. It reminded me a lot of Zora Neale Hurston's Tell My Horse, where she goes to Haiti and allegedly photographs a real zombie. It's like non-fiction magic realism. Does anybody know any other books like this? Especially interested in anything like this about American history.
