Grim dark fantasy books?

Hey all. I’m looking for some suggestions into gritty grim dark fantasy books.

I’ve read and really enjoyed Joe Abercrombie’s First Law Trilogy but I’m looking for something a little different than that. It was a great read but I like a little more overt magic in my fantasy and I like there to be a little extra flare to the world if that makes any sense.

I’m currently reading through the Empire of the Vampire which is also spectacular and kind of hits the vibe I’m looking for. I like that the main character is kind of a jerk at times and the unconventional method of storytelling is really interesting.

I enjoy the Warhammer 40k lore books but they’re very dense and I’m not currently interested in banging my head against that wall again.
