Hello everyone – I’m 33 and have recently been getting back into reading (a couple books I’ve finished here and there through my adult life – LOTR, dungeon crawler Carl) My wife reads all the time and I want to participate in her interests.

I have been recently reading Project Hail Mary and am really enjoying it so far, I’m getting towards the end and want to jump into my next book.

I love the fantasy/adventure genre but am unsure what are some must read titles or just fun ones. I am looking for something that has the sense of adventure like discovering a new tomb (think tomb raider/uncharted/Indiana jones) or a long journey similar to LoTR.

I play a lot of video games and love the settings of – lord of the rings (I have read these), tomb raider, uncharted, fable, elder scrolls, Witcher, Zelda, god of war.

    Thanks in advance!!

    1. I would say that Vengeance and Honour by Ben Dixon reads a bit like a video game or DND quest. LOTR style in that it’s a group of differently skilled adventurers on a quest. Great action and great fun.

    2. ‘The name of the wind’ is an excellent read, hooks you in right from the start. Fair warning though it’s the first in a series that will likely never be finished.
