Hi everyone! I’m looking for angsty, toxic f/m romance recs where the couple is completely wrong for each other… but also can’t seem to stay away.
I love stories where they break up multiple times for messy reasons — cheating, addiction, jealousy, personality changes, emotional damage, whatever — and yet they always end up circling back. Bonus points if, during the breakups, they’re still sneaking around, hooking up, kissing when they shouldn’t, or crossing lines they promised they wouldn’t.
I’m not looking for a “healthy communication fixes everything” kind of romance. I want obsession, tension, resentment, longing — the kind of relationship where they hurt each other but still feel inevitable. OWD/OMD drama is totally fine. No trigger warnings needed.
A book I read that fits this vibe is A Letter to Whiskey. I loved how toxic and tangled their dynamic was, especially the cheating and constant push-and-pull before they finally got their HEA.
