Suggestion for a book (bday gift for my friend)

I'm planning to gift a book to someone who loves books like
The Kite Runner, A Thousand Splendid Sun, And the Mountains Echoed, The Lion Women of Tehran, House Without Windows

I was initially thinking of getting The Safekeep by Yael van der Wouden, but I’m not sure if that’s a completely different genre compared to the books above. She probably wouldn’t mind trying a different genre if the book is really interesting, but ideally I’d like to stick close to what she already enjoys.

What would you recommend as a meaningful gift in a similar genre?
