    • For a precocious 7-year-old who's recently learned about Themyscira and the Amazons. Would be great if it were actually about the Amazons but doesn't have to be. DC Comics Wonder Woman Amazons are fine as long as it's kid-appropriate material.
    • Preferably has no male characters at all, but absolutely cannot be from the perspective of a male character discovering them and Learning Something About Himself. Strong preference against a setup of female heroes vs male antagonist. "Coincidentally all-female" (i.e., one assumes men must exist in the setting, but none are mentioned and it's never discussed) is as ideal as a strictly all-female society.
    • Woman author strongly preferred.
    • No themes more adult than The Hobbit or Fellowship of the Ring; length and difficulty should cap out in the neighborhood of the Judy Blume Ramona books.
    • Graphic novels OK.
    • Doesn't have to have any kind of philosophical "take" on patriarchy or power — the goal is simply to spend some time marinating in an all-female world. Kid's already a feminist and has figured out absolutely none of the books on her immense shelves stocked by a feminist mom who reads a lot have zero boys in them, even though dozens of her classics have no girls. Please don't have a political discussion in the comments.

Longtime lurker who adores this community — I love the recs I've gotten here and hope you can help! Something like this for this age range feels like a white whale.

None of these are female only, but I think fit your vibe: Princess in Black, Dory Fantasmagory, Ivy and Bean, Power Puff Girls, Aru Shah series.
