    Hello,

I just bought a book for my wife, that explains myths, gods and heroes from the Greek antiquity through the use of famous paintings. The book has very nice pictures, as well as many good explanations and details about those stories.

The book is in French but you can see here on Amazon what it looks like: "Ulysse, Athéna et les autres: La mythologie gréco-romaine racontée par la peinture" by Camille Jouneaux

She likes it so much that now, I would like to find a similar book, but with maps and art pieces. Like a very nice Atlas that one could leave on the coffee table. I found "The Penguin Historical Atlas of Ancient Greece" but I am not sure it qualifies as a "nice book". E.g. there could a map of possible locations of ancient Troy with explanations, or Carthage, etc.

Do you guys have any idea? I can be in English or in French with no problem.
