Hi all,
During the gloomy winter months, I have been reading a lot of horror, sci-fi and thrillers, most of which don't have an overall 'happy' plot.
I've been feeling a lot happier and upbeat, and would like some suggestions for books with nice, happy plots (basically nothing too intense, fight scenes or horror). I will leave some of my favourite books below so you can get a feel for what I like:
– The Sword of Kaigen (loved the elemental powers, wonderful characters and imagery)
– Between Two Fires and Red Rabbit (these two have the same sort of plot, a band of rag tags go on a quest to reach a final destination, and work through problems and new people along the way)
– Dracula (just loved everything about it, supernatural horror and the language)
– Red Rising series (loved the characters, plot twists and fight scenes)
All in all, I'm down for any genre (except anything romance or romance-fantasy). Would love to hear all your thoughts! Feel free to ask questions 🙂
