Suggest me something short and scary to read before bed

Recently gotten into the habit of reading short stories and novellas before bed, and am really interested in getting in the horror/creepy/thought-provoking genres, so please recommend me some stories that will keep me awake and scared lol, or share what scared you and I’ll give it a try!!

For reference, I’ve really liked Ray Bradbury’s short stories and ‘A Short Stay in Hell’ by Steven Peck. For some reason, I don’t really like Steven King (people say the Jaunt is really good, but it’s never really hit the spot for me), or ‘I have no mouth and I must scream’ by Harlan Ellison.
