I don't know why your classical Tolkien or Dragonlance series just really bore me. I don't know why, maybe that they're too medieval, but they don't really sell the whole prospect of adventure too me. I want a book that makes me feel like the protagonists are in a big wide world filled with wonders. Not necessarily wholesome, just awesome.
