I am absolutely smitten by her immersive and descriptive writing style. I loved her attention to detail and the way she elaborated on the tiniest details and not in a way that was long drawn or boring. But absolutely transported me to Manderley and her life I would say.
Can you recommend books with similar prose, writing style, or even a similar gothic/dark theme?

DuMaurier wrote several thrillers. My favorite is *The House on the Strand*. *Don’t Look Now* is her collection of short stories. There’s also *My Cousin Rachel*.
Patricia Highsmith’s *The Talented Mr. Ripley* is excellent.
Anything by Amor Towles.
