So my friend's birthday is coming up soon and I wanna give her a book and I came up with "THE SAFEKEEP by Yael van der Wouden" after watching a few reviews on YouTube and goodreads and stuff.
So what I need help with is this.
If anyone's ever read this book. Could you please tell me what its about and if there are many triggers in this book?
For context: She's 25. Her favorite books are by Madeline Miller. She's very much into romance and deep feelings and writings of such nature. That's all. Please help

I haven’t read this one specifically but from what I’ve seen it’s a pretty intense literary fiction piece set in post-WWII Netherlands with some heavy themes around trauma and family secrets. Given that she loves Madeline Miller, she’d probably appreciate the rich prose style, but just heads up that it deals with some darker subject matter than typical romance. Maybe check if she’s into more serious historical fiction before pulling the trigger on this one.
