I teach kindergarten at a classical school and I have an amazing assistant who reads aloud to the students while I prep. She chooses delightful books with beautiful illustrations. Some books from this year include East of the Sun and West of the Moon, Roxaboxen, Owl Moon, and lots of Brothers Grimm. The kids absolutely love their time with her.
I’d love to gift her a book at the end of the school year to thank her for her dedication to our students. She is definitely well read. From our conversations, I gather she enjoys poetry/fiction/non-fiction. Many of my favorites I know she already owns (East of Eden, Kristin Lavransdatter).
Does anyone have recommendations off the top of their head that they think would be a thoughtful gift in this situation? I plan to read any that stick out and choose my favorite!
Thanks so much

Maybe What Teachers Make by Taylor Mali?
Choosing a book for someone well read is going to be difficult they have probably read everything they want to read which fits the classics. You are going to need to get some edition of a book like a Fine Edition.
