Hi, I’m pretty set on being child-free but I’m entering a relationship where the other person wants to have robust discussions about children. I’m happy to talk it all through but I’m anxious, so I would like to do some research.
I have discovered in talking with my close friends that a major part of being child-free is how responsible I would feel as a parent. I was not raised by good parents, and the world is a scary place. I am not looking to change my mind or be soothed into ~finally accepting my biological purpose~. I am simply interested in gathering information from good sources so that I can have respectful conversations with my new partner.
Thank you.

Respectfully, I don’t think this relationship can work without future frustration and regrets.
