A lot of libraries do E-Books and Audiobooks through Libby or Kobo.
I haven’t used Kobo but with Libby you just use your library account number and pin then you can check out book directly from the Libby app.
If your local library doesn’t allow that you can sign up for a different library online. They usually give you a month of use before you have to verify your address.
