What I mean by this is not necessarily what is your favorite book?. What I mean is, what is that special book or series that others may not necessarily "get", but that holds a special place in your heart because you love it so much? For me, it's Dan Simmons Hyperion. A lot of people don't understand why us fans find it so special and comforting. I could write a lot about it, but I'm more interested in what you all have to say.
