Hi everyone, in 3 months I’m going on my second backpacking trip for a month. Last time I read what is now one of my favorite books, The Road by Cormac McCarthy, and it was a bit short and I wanted something more. Since I've been back I’ve watched a lot of video essays on books like it and have a big interest in reading more, but I’m still a broke student and don't have the time, but with another trip coming up it’s the perfect opportunity to get into reading. I have a fairly high reading level and tolerance for complex/dark themes, I am really interest in finding a book that will change the way I see the world. Some stories that I like and have read are, Princess of Mars/John Carter-by Edgar Rice Burroughs, The Road-by Cormac McCarthy, Harrison Bergeron-by Kurt Vonnegut, and Angela’s Ashes-by Frank McCourt.
