I am in dire need of some escapism. Can you please recommend me some book series that have a female hero that kicks butt? Could be a vigilante hero (like CW's Supergirl or a female version of Arrow (the first 2 seasons)) trying to make her city/region better or a magical PI. Some romance would be nice too.
- No romantic triangles
- No YA (main character has to be at least 18-20)
- No erotica
- No relationship drama
- No telenovela-style drama
- No kidnapping of the female main character by the male main character to coerce her into doing what you want (i.e. please don't recommend the Kingmaker Chronicles)
- Can be any fictional genre (mystery, fantastic, sci fi)
- The book series has to follow the same character- no couple jumping! I get attached to characters and I hate jumping to another character.
- Easy to jump over steamy scenes
- Has to have at least 3 books
- LOVE long books/long book series

– The October Daye series by Seanan McGuire (technically the first 3 books do have a romantic triangle and yes I rolled my eyes during it, but I love Toby so I was very happy when the triangle ended)
