Hello everybody, as you see from the title, I am looking for some fiction which focuses on character psychologies and their complicated states, but with lots of action as well. I have read recentley the following books and have enjoyed them so much, I ruminate on them often, and so I'd like the book reccomendations to also be similar to the following titles.
The Kite Runner by Khaled Hosseini,
No Country for Old Men by Cormac McCarthy and
The General In His Labyrinth by Gabriel García Márquez.
Thank you!

In the pulp era there were some great writers, look into Donald E Westlake and John D MacDonald
