Any book recomendations about widows/widowers or with stories in which the main character is a widow or a widower going through the process of grief? Could be any genre. Thanks
Note: technically horror, but I think that Lisey’s Story is just gorgeous.

The Company We Keep by Frances Itani. Six strangers are brought together at a coffee shop conversation group. Each is grieving a loss, and seeking ways to move forward. They find friendship, love and support. This book was an easy read, with relatable characters.

I am a recent widow and just read a book that was recommended on this site. It’s called *A Road to Joy* by Alexandra Stacey. It’s an indie book so might be hard to find in a library. I ordered my copy from Thriftbooks. The author takes a solo road trip across her native Canada to help process her grief after the unexpected death of her husband.
