I'm looking for books that kind of fit in urban fantasy. Basically this world with magic or science fiction. Three of my favorite series are Innkeeper Chronicles by Ilona Andrews, Alpha and Omega by Patricia Briggs, and the first trilogy in Hidden Legacy by Ilona Andrews. They are all romance books and I'm looking to branch out of romance. I've tried all the other series by those authors.
I've also tried Dresden Files, Rivers of London, In Death, and The Atrocity Archives. There's something about them that just irks me. I'm willing to give similar books a chance though.
I'm open to standalone or series.
