Fantasy friends to lovers recs

hi all!!

I am looking for some political fantasy friends to lovers book (stand-alone or series). I usually do enemies to lovers as I like the pining, but I want to try more romance sub-plot types. I am not looking for cozy fantasy. I still want high stakes and a book that's main plot is political fantasy esque.

I think I am looking for something like City of Brass. the politics of the book were the main focus with the romance being in the back seat.
