4. Penryn & the End of Days By Susan Ee
5. Gothikana by RuNyx
6. Nocticadia By Keri Lake

I have no idea how it compares to those you mentioned, but the biggest thing is I doubt you will find anything more epic then this series, the prose, the timeframe, the battles, the magic, the number of races, the coolness of the dragons. I also doubt you will read anything this dark. The first book is self contained and not so dark, so you dont need to read the series.
