I was chatting with my wife recently about flirting and dating and she asked me how I might have approached her if we met under different circumstances. I said that if we were at a bar I'd offer to buy her a drink, and if we were at a bookstore maybe I'd ask about a book she's considering buying.

She asked why I wouldn't offer to buy her a book. That got me thinking. Would people find that strange or cute? Is there a book store section where you'd find yourself more likely to engage in flirting? Or is there a book that would make you approach someone you found attractive?
