Hello. I'm looking for books like Forgotten Ruin by Jason Anspach & Nick Cole, 1632 by Eric Flint, and Doomsday Recon by Jason Anspach & Ryan Williamson. Forgotten Ruin is about a group of Army Rangers traveling into the future and having to deal with a fantasy world and the beings that inhabit it. 1632 is about a small town in West Virginia that time-travels in a strange incident to 1631 Germany and has to adapt and survive using their modern means and technology. Doomsday Recon is about a group of Army Cavalry Scouts getting transported to an Aztec-like world by an evil god and they have to adapt to the fantasy and mythological elements.

Isekai/transmigration-type books and time travel/alternate history are kind of what I'm looking for. A group, military or civilian, from our time gets transported to a different time or place and has to adapt to the new environment. I really like culture shocks, 1632 has some of those and it's great. No manga please, I'd like actual books. I also don't want time travel to be a commonplace thing. If there is time travel, I'd like it to be a kind of one-and-done incident like in 1632. There can be romance, but I'd prefer it not be the main focus.

The books also don't have to be isekai/transmigration or time travel exactly. Situations similar to this are fine. Like a group of soldiers going into a situation they've never dealt with, like encountering a supernatural creature they didn't know existed, and having to adapt and survive. Or a rift opening from our world to another one and having to fight whatever comes out of it. Things like that or similar. I hope this was enough detail on what I'm looking for. Thank you in advance for the help.
