Hi all,
Any fiction ideas about a sort of murder mystery / techno thriller but based around Silicon Valley / tech?
Like The Circle by Dave Eggers, but a bit…better executed. Or Devs the TV show, Ex Machina the movie.
Tech campus, cult of personality, tech bro-ness? And something is just wrong / off.
I’ve read bad blood (is non-fiction but still great), also already read a lot of Crichton.
Thanks!

The Warehouse by Rob Hart is fun. Set in an Amazon-esque work-city.
The Proving Ground is the eighth Lincoln Lawyer novel by Michael Connelly, released in October 2025, where Mickey Haller takes on a civil case against an AI company after its chatbot encourages a teenager to murder his ex-girlfriend, forcing him to confront the unregulated AI industry with the help of journalist Jack McEvoy to find a key whistleblower. The book follows Haller’s new direction in public interest litigation and explores the dangers and ethics of AI, with high stakes involving billions of dollars
