    I want to find books that help me keep my chin up and not feel useless/worthless, while understanding that my shame and lack of self worth is due to severe trauma. Basically, I am tired of self-help books that assume your life is awesome and that your lack of motivation is a mystery, or the ones that assume you have a wife/husband who helps and motivates you along the way. I am alone, but I live with someone who tears me down emotionally. I want books that keep me afloat till I can find my own place to live.

    *How to keep house while drowning* was a pretty good book imo, it helped me with tidying up when I felt like everything overwhelmed me. I would like books like that for other aspects of my life as well. Any recommendations?
