I just started reading Blitzed: Drugs in the Third Reich by Normal Ohler, and I have one other book that I’m looking to buy (it’s e, the incredibly strange history of ecstasy by Tom Pilcher)
However, I don’t really know where to begin to look for more books like it. Like, for example, drugs in old hollywood (or hollywood in general), locations notorious for their popularity with users (there was a particular hotel in NYC that there was a book about, I can’t happen to remember what it’s called), as it relates to club culture, other political regimes, etc
The prevalence of drugs in history is something I’ve always been fascinated by and I would love to read more about it!
