I’m wanting an easy to read spring based book for book club. Something less than 350pages preferably, set in the springtime to give us the springtime vibes.
We are currently thawing from winter so I wanted a nice seasonal book to give us the feel-goods and set us up for our picnic book meet in the park!
Aside from being under 350pages, please no fantasy or multigenerational books (we did not love Peach Blossom Spring). We also did not love Paper Palace and we were split 50/50 on Other Birds

You might like The Enchanted April. It’s short, very spring-soaked, and has that gentle new beginnings energy without being heavy. It also gives you plenty to talk about in a group setting without feeling like homework.
Another cozy option is The Blue Castle. It’s under 350 pages, very readable, and has that fresh air, personal reset kind of vibe that fits a picnic in the park discussion.
If you want something a little more contemporary but still light and warm, maybe The Switch. It’s easy to get into, character driven, and has that seasonal optimism without drifting into fantasy or sprawling family saga territory.
